How the system works

A complete s3mer system needs to have at least ONE player. This player must have al least ONE show assign to it. This show must have media files associated with it.

Components

s3mer is composed of two main parts The Player Application and the Admin Web Site. This two parts work together to make the system work

The Player Application

The player application is a stand alone application that displays video, images, rss feeds, podcasts, etc. on a dedicated or semi-dedicated computer.

How to Install

There are two options for installing the s3mer Player App.

  1. Easy: To install the player application you need to be at the Player Computer. Go to: http://www.s3mer.com/download.php and click on the Install Now Badge. Please follow the on-screen directions to complete the process.
  2. Hard: The hard way has two steps. First download the latest version of the Adobe AIR Runtime. Then download and install the latest version of the s3mer Player App.

Optional OS Configurator

We have created an automatic "configurator" for your operating system. This "configurator" disables the screen saver, disables power management and some other stuff that makes the s3mer player run better on your system. This "configurator" is recomended for systems that will be used as dedicated players.

Registering

The first time you run the Player Application you will be asked to login and tune in. In the login window enter you login email and your password. After you have successfully logged in you will be asked to select the player you want to assign to this Player Computer.
